A MAN who was growing cannabis in Runcorn has been jailed.
Craig Connor produced more than 70 plants of the class B drug.
The offence dates back to October 7 and in total, 74 cannabis plants were found in the town.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of producing a controlled drug of class B at a court hearing back in October.
Connor, of Skelmersdale, then appeared before Chester Crown Court last week for sentencing where he learned his fate.
Here, Judge Simon Berkson handed him 28 months in prison.
