A MAN has pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a serious assault at a car wash.

Jeremy Noonan, 56, appeared at Manchester Crown Court on November 16 to enter a plea in the case.

The incident took place on October 4 and saw a man enter the forecourt of a business – Meera Car Wash – before being attacked by another man just a couple of minutes later.

Noonan, of Canada Close in Fearnhead, entered joined by family, with aid of a walking stick before taking his place in the stand. The 56-year-old proceeded to plead not guilty to the offence.

An initial trial date has been set for July 1, 2025.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police issued a public appeal for information following reports of an assault on Liverpool Road in Cadishead.

The victim received hospital treatment for ‘serious life-changing injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening’.

Residents reported seeing the car wash cordoned off with police tape after the altercation, with a police presence remaining in the area for hours afterwards.

Officers sought to speak to anyone who may have had information or saw something during the morning.
