A PERSON has been hospitalised following a fire at a business in Runcorn.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Halton View Road at around 9.10am this morning, Tuesday.
Wearing breathing apparatus, crews tackled the fire at the commercial garage using a hose reel jet and a high-pressure fan.
They then checked over the premises using a thermal imaging camera to ensure the fire was out.
One casualty was treated at the scene by firefighters until the ambulance arrived.
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson has confirmed the person has since been taken to hospital.
Two fire engines attended the scene – one from Widnes and one from Runcorn.
