A CRASH outside Warrington Hospital has led to an ambulance being called, with police on the scene.

A crash occurred outside Warrington Hospital, near to the Lovely Lane entrance around 8.30am this morning, Monday. Traffic is being diverted through the car park with a white vehicle blocking the road with damage to the rear.

The crash, however, has prompted an emergency response, with North West Ambulance Service and Cheshire Police attending the scene.

Traffic has built up outside the hospital, with the trust releasing a statement warning patients to leave earlier for appointments this morning.

The Warrington Hospital Facebook page posted an update saying: “There has been a collision at the front of the main entrance of Warrington Hospital.

“For patients visiting Warrington Hospital within the next hour, we advise leaving earlier for an appointment as there may be a queue to enter the site through the main entrance.”

North West Ambulance Service and Cheshire Police have been contacted for comment.
