AN armed robber made off with cash after threatening staff at a beauty salon with a knife in a terrifying incident in Widnes.
At 6.45pm on Wednesday, a man entered Kyasha Hair and Beauty on Widnes Road and threatened a female staff member with a knife.
He demanded money before escaping with a quantity of cash.
Cheshire Police has confirmed it is investigating the incident, and officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
DS Paul Munnerley said: “Thankfully the woman was not harmed, but she was left shaken by her ordeal.
“We are checking CCTV and making a number of enquiries, and would urge anyone who was in the area at the time, and has any information or dashcam footage, to contact us so that we can find the person responsible.”
