A MOTORBIKE was found deliberately torched on a road in Runcorn.
Fire crews were called to attend the incident on Castlefields Avenue South in the early hours of this morning, Friday.
One fire engine was dispatched from Runcorn.
When firefighters arrived, they found a motorbike covered in flames.
A horse reel jet was used to extinguish the flames and the cause of the fire was ‘suspected to be deliberate’.
Cheshire Police is now investigating.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire Service said: “Crews attended the incident to find a motorbike on fire. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
“The cause was suspected to be deliberate, so the incident was handed over to the police.”
Cheshire Police are now appealing for information about the incident.
A spokes person for Cheshire Police added: "Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1698125.
"Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
