POLICE say they have seized what has been described as an ‘emaciated’ dog.
The animal was confiscated from an address in Runcorn after it was spotted by a passing police community support officer.
This occurred in the Hallwood Park area, with Cheshire Police officers joined by housing officers and members of the RSPCA.
The force’s Runcorn Police team said: “Yesterday, beat officers and PCSOs attended an address in the Hallwood Park area after an emaciated dog was seen in an address the day before by one of our PCSOs.
“The team worked together, along with housing and the RSPCA, and seized the dog from the address in the afternoon.
“The dog is now in the safe care of the RSPCA.”
Cheshire Police has been approached for further details concerning this incident.
