A WIDNES pub has been put up for sale with an asking price of almost £2million.
The Tavern, which is off Upton Lane, has been listed on the property market, as per Rightmove.
According to the property listing, which gives the pub a value of £1.8million, the watering hole has two function rooms, which can hold up to 90 people.
There is a total capacity of 140 guests within the pub and restaurant area of the site.
As per the property description, the site dates back to the mid-19th century, with records from 1852.
The description reads: "The Tavern is located in the affluent Widnes suburb of Upton Rocks which lies on the northern banks of the River Mersey between Prescot and Penketh in the Borough of Halton.
