THE takeaway order a man placed to a Widnes delivery firm had staff in stitches over the weekend.

The customer ordered a jerk chicken wrap meal from Pixi’s Caribbean Flavas Two, on Albert Road in the town.

This was set to be delivered to a car ark in Widnes as the customer did not want his wife to see due to his wife placing him on a meat-free diet.

Widnes Eats posted the delivery note on its social media, with the request stating: “Please drop off at the car park on Prescot Road near the playing fields.

“The Mrs is a veggie and she has got me on a meat-free diet. I just love your food. Ring me when you leave and I will make my excuses. I have got the cash ready thanks.”

On the special request, Widnes Eats said: “Give the man his meat. Just had this in off the guys at Pixi’s Widnes. Check out the delivery notes.

“The food is on its way, along with some complimentary mints. The local way to takeaway.”
