A RUNCORN author’s new children’s book will provide an important message to young people that a problem shared is a problem halved.
The Elephant in the Room, written by Ian James, focuses on a young boy, Henry, who is navigating through problems with friends at school.
Author Ian, from Dutton said he hopes his tale will open new and important conversations between children and their parents.
“I wrote 'The Elephant in the Room' to spark meaningful conversations between parents, caregivers, and children,” he said.
“The aim is to help young minds navigate emotions and feel confident in discussing their feelings.”
As mental health problems in young people are on the rise, and conversations around this are becoming ‘increasingly vital’, this book provides a nurturing platform for families to broach these essential topics.
“Henry is a little boy who has trouble with his friends at school – something a lot of children can relate to.
“Hopefully anyone going through something similar can recognise their own situation and speak to their family or loved ones, learning that sharing a problem can help.”
The Elephant in the Room is on sale on Amazon now.
