A WEATHER warning for strong winds that could pose a ‘danger to life’ has been issued in Halton.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds covering Runcorn and Widnes.
This will come into effect from 10am on Wednesday and will be in place until 7am on Thursday.
Forecasters say there is a ‘small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris’, as well as some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
They all say there is a slight chance that power cuts may occur and that longer journey times are likely.
A Met Office spokesperson said: ”A spell of strong winds is expected to move northeast through Wednesday, with a small chance that they could be significantly disruptive.”
