A NURSE from Cronton who has worked in healthcare for more than 30 years has been appointed as new general manager at a luxury care home in Grappenhall.
Charlotte Sherrocks has been a qualified nurse for 27 years and plans to create a ‘home-from-home’ environment at Grappenhall Manor as she takes on her new role.
Responsibilities will include the smooth day-to-day running of the care home, based on the former Springbrook Pub site, and she will work with a team of 80 nurses and carers and implement personalised care plans for residents at the home.
Speaking on her new venture, Charlotte said: “I aim to work with the wonderful team here at Grappenhall Manor to achieve full occupancy and deliver optimum care for our fast-growing family of residents along with peace of mind for their families.
“Together, we will strive for full compliance with CQC and an Outstanding rating.”
Keeping it in the family, Charlotte is married to Neil who is the maintenance manager at Grappenhall Manor.
Originally born in Liverpool where she attended The Belvedere School for Girls, she moved to Cronton in Widnes more than 20 years ago where she enjoys city breaks, spending time with family and heading out to enjoy horse riding and walking in the great outdoors.
Chief operating officer Cath Fairhurst added: “Having worked with Charlotte previously, I’m delighted that she has chosen to join us and am confident that Grappenhall Manor will flourish under her direction and with her warm and friendly management style.”
