A PUB in Wirall has been "transformed" by its new tenant and managers.
Peter Boardman, 44, from Widnes, became the new tenant of The Saughall pub in Saughall Massie on July 3.
He and his managers, Emma Mountain and Dani Ornelas have spent 10 days transforming the pub into a more "family-friendly" and "useable space".
Speaking to the Globe, Peter said: "We have re-decorated and re-purposed the main restaurant area and we hope to return the pub to its rightful place as a hub of the community over the coming months.
"Our managers Emma and Dani will strive to provide a friendly, and attractive pub whilst serving fabulous food and great quality drinks to back up the exceptional levels of customer service which we have harnessed from day one."
The pub plans to offer our customers live music, showcasing some of the best bands the local area has to offer. SKY and TNT Sports will also screen all major sporting events.
There will be family fun days at regular times throughout the year.
Peter added: "We are exploring the possibility of using a piece of waste land as a community garden of some sort, however, this project requires authorisation from the brewery and will be something that happens further down the line.
"We just want to give the village a local pub that they can be proud of which sits right at the heart of the community."
