CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service has announced that a car has been 'completely destroyed' in a blaze in Runcorn.
The incident took place at around 2.30am this morning, Thursday.
According to the incident log on Cheshire Fire and Rescue's website, one fire engine was dispatched to deal with the fire.
The log reads: "A car was completely destroyed by fire on the roadway.
"A hose reel jet was used to tackle the blaze and the incident [was] handed over to police.
"Nobody was injured in the fire."
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "The fire wasn't suspicious, police were just called to help with recovery of the car."
There was another incident reported in Runcorn last night, Wednesday, which involved Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.
According to the fire service, one fire engine was called to Quarry Close in Runcorn to deal with another incident.
The incident took place at approximately 10.06pm, and is suspected to have been started deliberately.
As per the incident log: "A fire involving loose refuse and tree scrub, measuring approximately four square metres, was put out by firefighters using water backpacks.
"The fire is believed to have been started deliberately."
