A LARGE emergency service presence was reported at a closed pub in Runcorn yesterday afternoon, Saturday.
Three fire engines and Cheshire Police officers were dispatched to attend an incident at the now disused The Fiddlers Three pub.
On arrival at the Pendennis Court building at around 4.20pm, fire crews found that the incident involved a small fire inside.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service says that firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel water jet to extinguish the flames.
A specialist fan was then used to clear smoke from inside the former public house.
The scene was later handed over to Cheshire Police to re-secure the building.
