FIRE crews tackled two fires in Runcorn last night, Friday, including a wheelie bin fire and a small blaze outside a disused building.
Shortly after 6.15pm, firefighters attended Stone Barn Lane.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed: “Fire Control received a 999 call about a disused building on fire, but when firefighters arrived they found a small quantity of wood had been set alight outside.
“Police were informed owing to a number of small deliberate fires in the area.
"Anyone with information should contact 101.”
Later in the evening, just before 9.25pm, fire crews were called to Holloway.
A spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to deal with a wheelie bin, fence panel and small petrol can on fire.
“They extinguished it using a hose reel water jet and carried out a home safety check.”
