THE corridors of a Runcorn academy will be filled with the sound of music after a local construction firm generously funded a range of new percussion instruments to the department.
Sandymoor Ormiston Academy’s performing arts department is now the proud owner of two pianos and a selection of keyboards after receiving the donation from Redrow North West.
As the performing arts department was only developed 18 months ago, the new equipment now on offer to students is a welcomed edition.
Head teacher, Sally Jones said: “This donation has been fundamental in the department being able to do more and allow the students to perform. We would like to give a massive thanks to Redrow.”
Redrow is a well-established company with a history of more than 50 decades worth of developments.
It is currently spearheading the Daresbury Garden Village housing project, located on Delph Lane in Warrington.
Christopher Edwards, area sales manager at Redrow North West, added: “It is great to hear what a difference these new instruments will make to the new department at Sandymoor Ormiston Academy.
“ I hope they are enjoyed by generations to come.”
