DARESBURY’S Creamfields Music Festival has been named as one of the best festivals in the UK.
The dance music festival moved to Daresbury in 2006 and takes place on August Bank Holiday each year.
In a top 10 list complied by Get Licenced, Creamfields was ranked as the sixth best festival in the UK after receiving a score of 7.37 out 10.
To compile the leader board, Get Licenced analysed a variety data. This included the size of the line-up, the ticket price for 2023, the price difference over the last five years, festival capacity, how critically acclaimed and publicised the festival is and the weather in each location.
Out of the 10 festivals which made the list, Creamfields is the only one that has had a decrease in ticket prices. Since 2018, ticket prices have been reduced by 7.69 per cent.
The cost of a full weekend ticket for the Daresbury event this year is £240.
At the top of the list was Glastonbury which received a score of 8.42 followed by Reading Festival with a score of 8.11 while Victorious Festival in Portsmouth came 10th with a score of 6.20.
