POLICE have named two men charged with drug supply offences after a property was raided in Widnes.

Officers from Widnes Proactive Policing Team conducted a warrant at an address on Hale Road at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, January 24.

Alex Gannon, aged 20 and of no fixed address, and Paul Jones, aged 47 and of Hale Road, were arrested.

They have subsequently been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, possession of the class B drug cannabis and two counts of possession of the class A drugs heroin and crack cocaine.

Gannon was also charged with two counts of money laundering.

Both were remanded to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 26 where they were further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on February 23.
