WE are continuing our look at the spectacular views of the area we live taken from one of the tallest buildings around.
Last week we saw Widnes and Runcorn from a view you are unlikely to have seen very often.
This was courtesy of photographer Dave Gillespie from the top of the stack at Fiddler’s Ferry power station.
Now we take a look at neighbouring Warrington, and instantly noticeable is the vast number of homes in the town.
The start of the town centre is marked by the Unilever site, which itself is soon to be demolished after operations ended.
Where this business has closed however, many new and huge industrial warehouses can be seen at Omega, on land which if viewed decades ago would show the former RAF Burtonwood airbase.
Despite these developments, large swathes of green space can be seen, as well as the natural course of the River Mersey.
Other noticeable landmarks include the Halliwell Jones Stadium and St Elphin’s Church.
