FIREFIGHTERS and Police were called to Widnes Market after what was believed to be a deliberate fire was started under one of the marquee's stalls yesterday.
Three fire engines from Widnes, Northwich and Winsford were dispatched to the Market on Bradley way at 7.25pm after reports of the fire.
Police were also called to attend the scene after it was believed the fire was started deliberately.
One hose reel was used to extinguish the flames and the fire did not spread to any nearby properties.
Police are yet to give an update on the incident.
