A planned closure of a section of the M56 over this coming weekend has been cancelled.
National Highways were set to close the M56 between between junctions 11 for Preston Brook and Daresbury and junction 12 Runcorn.
But Northwest Motorway Police have confirmed the closures have been ‘cancelled at this moment in time’.
The closures were originally put in place to carry out works, installing new safety barriers in preparation for the new bridge.
It is unclear when the closures will now go ahead, but updates will be given in due course.
