THERE are queues on Chester Road this morning, Thursday, as the gates open for this year's Creamfields music festival.

Tens of thousands of music fans will attend the Daresbury festival, many camping, which runs until Sunday.

And queues are being reported on both directions of the A56 Chester Road this morning.

Congestion is back to Higher Walton around the entrance.

The campsite opens at 12.

The lineup includes David Guetta, Fatboy Slim and Martin Garrix.

Camelphat and Carl Cox are among the other artists taking to the stage during this summer's festival.

Most of the main acts perform over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
