THE PRINCIPAL of a sixth-form academy in Runcorn has praised students on their ‘fantastic’ A-Level results across the board.
Kathryn Evans, Principal at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy on Barnfield Avenue, expressed her extreme pride for all her students that received their results today with many securing places in apprenticeships or universities.
She said: “We are delighted to see our students receiving their results today, all of which are hugely deserved after working so hard over the last two years. We are very proud of the next steps all our students will be taking, including securing places at prestigious universities including University of Liverpool and University of Manchester, on coveted apprenticeships in multinational business and in first jobs of their choice.”
Many sixth-form students walked away with ‘excellent’ results, reflecting their hard work and commitment to their studies over the past two years.
Assistant principal, Scott Fenner detailed the ‘extreme resilience’ shown by all the sixth form students, as well as the academies delight at having their first ever student to secure a place studying medicine this year.
He said: “I am enormously proud of all student's hard work and dedication to their studies over what has been a difficult two years. Students have shown extreme resilience which will benefit them in their future endeavours. We have seen students secure destinations in a variety of contexts including; university, apprenticeships, and full-time employment, ranging from midwives to business administration, but most notably is our first ever student to achieve success and secure a place studying medicine. We will be sad to see our Year 13s leave our OBA family and wish them all the best for the future.”
