DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man at Handforth station.
Officers were called to the station shortly after 7pm on July 26 following concern for the welfare of two people.
Andrea Reid, of Clough Avenue, Wilmslow, was arrested at the scene.
The 53-year-old appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on July 28.
She has been remanded in custody until her next appearance.
The 20-year-old man did not sustain any injuries.
Detective Inspector Granville Sellers said: “I’d like to firstly to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident.
“Officers have been conducting a number of enquiries in the local area and we’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the events leading up to it in the area to get in touch with us to assist the investigation.
