A HEDGEHOG trapped underneath the kitchen of a house in Runcorn has been rescued by firefighters.
The hedgehog, named Gregory by firefighters, was stuck underground in an old clay internal pipe.

The alarm was raised shortly before 8pm on Friday.
After liaising with the homeowner, crews dug up the front garden of a house on Nortonwood Lane
Blue watch spent around an hour and 40 minutes painstakingly trying to free the little animal.

Firefighters found Gregory after digging down approximately onemetre.
A spokesman for Runcorn Fire Station said: “It took many attempts to release this little guy but eventually Gregory was saved.”
