CRONTON Playhouse Theatre in Widnes will relaunch its live performances in November after an 18-month hiatus due to Covid restrictions.
The 320-seat venue, based at Cronton Sixth Form College, will see entertainment including music, dance and theatre return to its stage.
Upcoming performances include Sunset Boulevard, Macbeth, and A Christmas Carol and will give the local community the chance to watch future stars perform in live theatre.
Ben Musa, artistic director for the Professional Dance Programme, which is performing A Christmas Carol, said: “For the past 18 months we have been heartbroken that we haven’t been able to do what we do best, which is perform for an audience and feel the atmosphere of show night.
“What was even more upsetting was having such a fantastic venue in the Cronton Playhouse to call our own and our students not being able to perform in such a wonderful space.
“We are so excited about getting back on the stage and we can’t wait to be joined by an audience this time.”
Tickets for the performances can be purchased online at ticketsource.co.uk/crontonplayhouse
