THREE parks in Runcorn and Widnes have been honoured with the Green Flag Award.
Victoria Park, Hale Park and Runcorn Hill Park have all been recognised as part of the Keep Britain Tidy scheme.
And all three are now proudly displaying their green flags, alongside new Union flags and the Halton Coat of Arms.
Halton Borough Council’s parks manager Paul Boardman, said: "It has been encouraging to see our parks so well used during the past 12 months, and the awards are a reflection on the hard work by our staff which goes in to maintaining our open spaces on a daily basis.
"We also continue to thank the public for playing their part in making our parks pleasurable places to visit.”
