EIGHT men have pleaded not guilty to being involved in a huge brawl which broke out during a wedding at the Daresbury Park Hotel last year.
The pleas were entered during a hearing at Warrington Magistrates court this morning, Thursday, which also saw two men enter no pleas to the matter.
Up to 50 people were reportedly involved in fighting during a reception at the Chester Road site on the evening of June 26, 2019.
Wedding party members allegedly barricaded themselves inside the function room when police attended at around 11.30pm, with 30 police cars rushing to the area according to eyewitnesses.
A total of 11 men have been charged with violent disorder in connection with the incident, which caused three patients to be taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The eight men who pleaded not guilty to the charge includes:
Robert Reilly, aged 27, of Milton Keynes
Edward Stokes, aged 48, of Crewe
Edward Joseph Stokes, aged 19, of Crewe
Edward William Stokes, aged 26, of Milton Keynes
Michael Stokes, aged 53, of Crewe
Stephen Stokes, aged 23, of Northwich
Terry Stokes, aged 33, of Winsford
Thomas Stokes, aged 28, of Milton Keynes
A further two men, Brian Stokes, aged 23, of Crewe, and John Steven Stokes, aged 25, of Nantwich, entered no plea.
Meanwhile John Stokes, aged 20, of London, was not in attendance at the hearing.
They will appear in Chester Crown Court next month.
