WHILE most of us are counting down the days until we are reunited with our hairdressers, a Runcorn lady is getting ready to shave her hair off for charity.
19 year old Megs Olivia Wood-Brignall from Brookvale will be braving the shave on Wednesday, July 1, for Macmillan Cancer.
"So many people in the world have to battle cancer and it's only right for me to show my support by fundraising money towards Macmillan.
"I've been wanting to shave my hair since I was a teen because my great grandad battled cancer and sadly passed away a few days before Christmas in 2017."
Megs is no stranger to donating her locks as she cut off her hair a few years ago and donated it to Princess Trust so they could make it into a wig for a child who had lost their hair due to medical reasons.
She added: "I'm aiming for the 1st of July to shave my hair off and my husband Jacob will be helping me.
"My grandad was a great person and he lost his battle with cancer so it is in memory of him and all the other people in the world fighting and for the people who have sadly lost their fight.
"I want to show my daughter Esme anything is possible in life and supporting others is a great thing to do."
