BIN collections across Halton will be changing over the Christmas and New Year period.
With both Christmas Day and New Years Day falling on a Wednesday this year some households will be asked to put their bins out for collection the Friday after the scheduled collection.
Residents who usually have bins collected on a Thursday - which happens to be Boxing Day - will have to put their bins out on the following Sunday.
All collections will return to normal from the week commencing Monday, January 13.
Full dates as follows:
- If your collection is due on Wednesday, December 25, it will take place on Friday, December 27
- If your collection is due on Thursday, December 26, it will take place on Saturday, December 28
- If your collection is due on Friday, December 27, it will take place on Monday, December 30
- If your collection is due on Monday, December 30, it will take place on Tuesday, December 31
- If your collection is due on Tuesday, December 31, it will take place on Thursday, January 2
- If your collection is due on Wednesday, December 1, it will take place Friday, January 3
- If your collection is due on Thursday, January 2, it will take place on Saturday, January 4
- If your collection is due on Friday, January 3, it will take place on Monday, January 5
- If your collection is due on Monday, January 6, it will take place on Tuesday, January 7
- If your collection is due on Tuesday, January 7, it will take place on Wednesday, January 8
- If your collection is due on Wednesday, January 8, it will take place on Thursday, January 9
- If your collection is due on Thursday, January 9, it will take place on Friday, January 10
- If your collection is due on Friday, January 10, it will take place on Saturday, January 11
Household waste centres at Picow Farm Road in Runcorn and Johnson's Lane in Widnes will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day but will open all other days from 8am until 6pm.
Any residents who want to rake waste from their house in a van or large trailer will require a permit.
The Council's Halton Direct Link shops will be closed from the end of normal working hours on Monday, December 23.
