A RUNCORN woman has been jailed for a series of incidents including disposing of a sanitary towel on the streets and threatening to slit an officer's throat.
Heleana Robertson, 42, of Cunningham Drive, Runcorn, was jailed at Warrington Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to being drunk and disorderly, outraging public decency, making racist remarks, failing to answer bail and breaching a suspended sentence.
The first incident happened on Church Street, Runcorn on Saturday, February 23 for urinating on the street and again on February 28 when she also discarded a sanitary towel.
Robertson said she was “just sorting herself out” but was later arrested for outraging public decency.
The second incident happened on Friday, March 8 after police were called to an address on Beaconsfield Road, Runcorn which Robertson refused to leave and was found drunk.
She was removed from the property and she began to shout and swear in the street so she was further arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
When she was placed in the police van she began to make racist remarks to a black female officer and threatened to slit an officer's throat while in police custody.
The final incident happened on Friday, April 5 when police were called to the Derby Pub, on Widnes Road, Widnes, after reports of a drunken woman who was being abusive to other customers, refusing to leave and drinking her own alcohol in the pub.
When officers arrived they found Robertson lying in the foyer of the pub.
Officers managed to get her out of the pub and were walking her down the road when she started to become abusive.
Robertson has been sentenced to 20 weeks in prison.
PC Chris Nicholls said: "This conviction reflects the dedication and hard work of the officer’s at Runcorn.
"I welcome the sentence imposed by the courts which reflects the constant level of offending behaviour displayed by Robertson.
"She will now have ample time to reflect on her actions and consider the implications that they have on the public.”
