FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire on the Silver Jubilee bridge in Runcorn yesterday evening, Monday.
Two fire engines and a fire boat were sent to the westbound side of the bridge at around 6.20pm after reports were made that smoke was coming from underneath it.
Crews used the boat and an aerial ladder platform to reach the blaze.
One handheld jet and two tanks of water were used to put it out.
