AN armed robber threatened staff at a Runcorn bookmakers.
Police today appealed for information following the robbery at M Cook in Stonebarn Lane, Palacefields.
A man brandishing a firearm burst into the premises at around 8.30pm on Saturday, June 13, demanding cash.
He fled on foot with a three figure sum.
DC Tim Brookes from Halton CID said: “Two female staff members and a member of public were subjected to an extremely traumatic ordeal.
“If it had not been for the staff complying with the offender's demands, this incident could have resulted in far more serious consequences.
“The individual we are looking for presents a clear danger to the public.
“We would like to appeal for any information the public may have regarding this incident.
“If you have any information regarding this incident or if you were in the area at the time please and may have seen anybody acting suspiciously to contact us”.
The robber is described as a white male, aged between 25-35, 6 ft tall, and of a slim build.
He was dressed all in black.
