Holders Bridge Timber eased through to the final of the Runcorn Sunday Cup with a 2-1 victory against the Norton Arms.
Bridge could have made the game safe in the first half in which Bridge dominated from the start but couldn't convert a host of chances.
After continued pressure Bridge gained the first goal in the 42nd minute after Garry Jacques found Kev Ward in space and he unselfishly rolled in Karl Thomas to score and give Timber a 1-0 lead.
Despite Bridge missing a host of chances Norton began to come into the game and in the 80th minute a good ball from Dave Tierney found Kev Ward and he again found Thomas unmarked who turned and found the corner with a low shot for 2-0.
Craig Beech went close with a 20 yard strike only for Nortons keeper to tip the ball over for a corner.Norton pulled 1 back in the last minute to make the final score 2-1.
Karl Thomas was Bridge Timbers man of the match.
