HALTON Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise has been overwhelmed by the standard of this year’s entries.
Chief executive Paula Cain said: “We’ve had a record number of extremely high quality nominations from companies, making the process very difficult for our panel of judges.
“I view this as tremendously positive and testimony to the fact that the awards have developed over recent years in both stature and prestige.
“None of us would argue that It’s been tough for businesses for quite some time and despite welcome signs that things are improving and the economy is growing, there are still many challenges.
“Our businesses, whether large, medium or small, have risen to those challenges and have made some outstanding achievements. “These awards aim to recognise those achievements and celebrate the success and excellence of our Halton business community.”
She wants to thank all the sponsors without whom the awards would not be possible.
