A DREAM has come true for a Runcorn mum.
Lisa Stenhouse, aged 28, has opened her own barber’s shop in Halton Road.
She is hoping to employ another barber once she gets established and take on an apprentice in the future.
Mum-of-three Lisa, of Beechwood, said: “I’ve worked in hairdressing and barbers since I left school at 14.
“It has always been my goal to have a shop of my own.
“When I came across this little shop, I thought it was perfect. I’ve got a barber’s pole and flag outside. It was a barbers originally but has been quite a few things since then.
Originally from Stockport, Lisa trained at Tony and Guy and launched her new business in September.
She moved to Runcorn from Birkenhead three months ago.
She has a daughter aged 10, a six-year-old son and a 19-month-old baby daughter.
She refreshed her skills at college after having her family.
Her husband, Christopher works at Jaguar Landrover.
Lisa added: “I’m trained in ladies hairdressing so I will do women’s hair by appoinment, but I am primarily concentrating on the barbers, which is making a comeback. Men don’t like waiting around for women to have colours. They like to come in, get their hair cut and go.
“I try my best to make the waiting time as little as possible but we do offer free wifi here.
“I love hairdressing. I love meeting different types of people and having lots of different conversations.”
There is free parking outside her shop.
