EXHIBITIONS are being held to show residents proposed changes to the road layout around the new Mersey Gateway bridge in Runcorn.
The route from the crossing to the Central Expressway is not changing.
It is the layout of the proposed roundabout underneath it which allows traffic to move between the main route and the Bridgewater and Daresbury Expressways that is being altered.
A dual roundabout is now being suggested to allow traffic to flow more freely and reduce costs.
The amendments will require a new planning application.
Two public consultation events will be held to explain the proposals and invite feedback and comments from residents and businesses. Dates for these meetings have not yet been finalised.
The exhibitions are on Tuesday, July 9, at Runcorn Town Hall, and Tuesday, July 16, at Select Stadium in Widnes. Both will run from noon to 8pm.
