Roads closed as Widnes firefighters tackle recycling blaze
FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze at a recycling plant in Everite Road, Widnes.
Four fire crews are at Central Recycling Company Limited.
The alarm was raised shortly before 10am.
The fire is in a building containing unprocessed recycling material.
Firefighters are working with staff at the site, who are using heavy plant machinery to move material out of the way.
Roads are closed in the area.
