BLAIR Gloria Gloria Blair, 87, died suddenly but peacefully at Gainsborough House Care Home on 4th Sept 2022. A beloved Wife, Mum & Nanna, Gloria is survived by Bill, her doting Husband of 63 years, Sons Paul and Gary, their Partners Heather and Dawn and her 6 Grandchildren - Jack, James, Fraser, Molly, Ruby & Sienna. Gloria will perhaps be best remembered by many for her Dance & Drama School of 30 years in Thelwall, putting on many shows at the Parish Hall with proceeds going to multiple charities, providing funds for the Parish Hall and for participating in the Thelwall Rose Queen with a Float in the procession. Many people may not be aware that in her heyday she was a professional acrobat/tumbler performing in many theatres around the UK in variety, music hall and pantomime often appearing on the same programme as up and coming stars of TV including Morecambe & Wise, Frankie Howerd, Roy Castle, Jim Dale, Roy Hood, Little & Large, Norman Wisdom and Harry Secombe. The funeral will be held at Walton Lea Crematorium at 12pm on Tuesday 27th September. Donations to Dementia UK would be much appreciated.
