Roger William Hayes

HAYES Roger William "Podgey Brit" Roger, formerly of Withers Avenue, Orford passed away on 24th November 2021 at his home in Seattle, USA. He leaves his wife Maureen, son Scott and daughter-in-law Tori. Roger would have been 86 on 1st December. He was a good friend to all who knew him and loved by all. Rest in Peace Roger. Love you always. For further information, contact Alan Hayes at St Margaret's Church, Orford.

What an amazing man. He loved unconditionally and he was loved by everyone. I am so happy that I was able to spend his last 2 weeks with him. We laughed and we cried. I will miss you so much Rog. Xxxxx

I am honored to have called him my uncle. He showed me about living life always to 'look for the silver lining'; 'just because no one has been successful at doing something doesn't mean it cant be done', and 'not to be so sure about something that you aren't willing to consider other alternatives or point of view.' Whenever I had my eye on something he always would say, "You deserve it". He won't be missed because he's always with me.
