Sign in to add a tributeDennis was introduced to Lymm by Bob Bates, maybe they were neighbours or worked together. Your dad played 1st team for three or four seasons and was the leading try scorer in 63/64 season with 14 tries. Sadly Bob died in Australia about 5 years ago.
There has been no rugby played at Lymm during the CV19 pandemic. With the clubhouse and facilities being closed, we cannot come together to pay tribute to members past and present who have passed away during this time. However, when we are allowed to start playing again, (hopefully from September this year), we plan to dedicate one of our home league fixtures to the memory of all who died during this period, including your dad. We will invite family members to join us on the day. I have told Chris that I will keep him and his dad informed.
So, my best wishes to you, your brother and your families in Florida and Rest in Peace Dennis, you are not forgotten at Lymm RFC.

A Dennis Crompton played for Lymm RFC in the early 1960's, introduced by a chap called Bob Bates. Please can you confirm that this is the the same Dennis Crompton or not. He is remembered by many of our older members and we send our sincere condolences to his family, Lesley and Mark.
Thank you
Peter Cornelia
