A GRITTY new play exploring sexuality, love, death and religion, with live music and spoken word, is coming to The Brindley on Tuesday, February 12.
The play, called Whole, is aimed at teenagers and young people.
A lot of what you hear in the production resonates closely to young people’s beliefs and experiences.
20 Stories High is a Liverpool-based theatre company which creates dynamic, challenging theatre to attract new audiences.
Working with the narrative and artistic influences of the young people they collaborate with, they are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what theatre is.
Director Julia Samuels and writer Philip Osment worked with 20 Stories High youth theatre members to discuss, discover and explore the most poignant topics of the story, sexuality and religion. There is no swearing in the play. Tickets, priced £8, are available from the box office on 0151 907 8360 or online at thebrindley.org.uk.
