AFTER reading the Secretary of State’s judgement regarding the proposed incinerator, it is evident to me that the fears of many residents, including myself, that the ‘go-ahead’ from the Government was a done deal, were well founded.

I AM writing on behalf of the Halton Liberal Democrats to express our frustration over the Secretary of State’s decision to approve the construction of an incinerator in Runcorn without a public inquiry.
