Castle F.C. 1 Bridge Timber F.C. 2 Bridge scraped through 2-1 against a spirited Castle outfit with goals form Karl Thomas and Kev Ward, Although Castle keeper Shaun Harrington made 2 good saves to keep Bridge out with Kev Ward and Connor Taylor both going close before the deadlock was broke when 26 minutes in Connor Taylors free kick was flicked home by Karl Thomas for 1-0.Kev Wards neat finish made it 2-1 after good work by Mike Chesters,Jamie Cumpper and Karl Thomas and just before the half time whistle, Ste Hicksons long range effort nearly caught out Harrington in the Castle goal but his save tipped the ball onto the bar, Karl Thomas ghosted in to just beat the defender and keeper but unluckily his shot came off the underside of the bar to keep it 2-0. Castle were much improved in the 2nd half, and got there reward in the 48th minute with a good strike after good play down the right and with Bridge reduced to counter attacks the game was swinging from end to end with both defences working hard to keep it tight. Castle then pressed again bringing 3 excellent saves from Bridge keeper Andy Stringer, one of which was in the 89 minute when he heroicly flung himself to stop the ball flying in and showing his agility to keep a low shot just inside the post out to take Timber through, Connor Taylor was named as Bridge Timbers man of the match with keeper Andy Stringer running him a close 2nd.

EBL F.C. 0 Bridge Timber F.C. 3 Holders Bridge eased through a tricky tie against a stubborn EBL team, EBL could have been 1 up in the first 2 mins after a goalmouth scramble but a Lee Evans last ditch tackle kept the score 0-0. on 12 mins Kev Ward had a good chance for Bridge after good work by Thomas Whalley but his shot was well held by the EBL keeper. Timber then made their pressure tell after good work by Gary Jacques and Lee Evans engineered the cross for Thomas Whalley to ghost in and flick the ball home with a neat header for 1-0.With the game finely balanced Sanderson for EBL could have levelled but his shot never troubled Stringer in the Timber goal.Bridge gained the upper hand early in the 2nd half after Kev Ward was fouled just outside the EBL box, skippwer Ste Coady put the ball down and found the corner to make it 2-0. Paul Wilson brought a good save from the keeper after gettin around Jay Maddocks before the introduction of Lewis Buckley took Bridge through after his defence splitting pass left Kev Ward one on one,, Ward doing ther step over to leave the keeper on the floor and calmly took the ball round to tap home to give Bridge a deserved win. Bridge now meet Reo's F.C. in the final on the 18th May ,, Lee evans was Bridge Timbers man of the match with a faultless performance at the heart of Timbers defence.

Bridge Timber F.C. 7 Todds F.C. 2 Bridge gained a great 7-2 victory against a decent Todds team at halton sports, Todds had a great chance on 11 minutes but Timbers keeper Andy Stringer saved well to keep it level, Louis Watsons quick throw to Jay o Brien created the first goal when o Briens pass found youngster Lewis Buckley on the left, Buckley firing home in the corner with the outside of his foot for 1-0.Some great defending from Ste Coady kept Todds at bay before finding Kev Patterson with a 5 yard ball , his defence splitting pass put Kev Ward one on one and he found the top corner to make it 2-0. A great team goal brought number 3 when Paul Hives linked up well with Jay o Brien, Lewis Buckleys great lay off back to o Brien who delightfully curled it round the everybody and into the corner. Andy Stringers great catch and throw gave Bridge number 4 when Jay o Brien found Paul Hives, his accurate pass gave Karl Thomas the chance to score from 20 yards to give the keeper no chance. Good work by Lee Evans and Paul Wilson down the right gave Kev Patterson the time and space to find Kev Ward on his own, ward took the ball around the keeper and his left footed shot found the net for 5-0. Todds then had a chance when a shot rebounded off the cross bar before Bridge reacted with number 6 when Karl Thomas caused panic in the Todds box before Ste Coady headed home from close range for 6-0. Todds pulled one back on 80 minutes with a good shot before super sub Thomas Whalley scored another goal after great work from Louis Watson. Todds then again scored when a cross come shot deceived Stringer in the Bridge goal. Karl Thomas junior had 2 good chances to near the end but his shots went agonisingly wide. Jay o Brien was Timbers man of the match with a great all round performance.

Bridge Timber F.C. 1 Reo's F.C. 2 Bridge missed the chance to go top after a lacklustre performance against a spirited Reo's side, Despite early pressure from Bridge with Ward,Buckley and Thomas going close ,Reos took the lead in the 36th minute after a freekick was deflected home to give Andy Stringer no chance, Timber reacted with Karl Thomas heading home after Ste Coady's volley was saved but he was first to the rebound to take the game into the interval 1-1.Bridge continued the 2nd half with good pressure , Karl Thomas vollying over from close range after Kev Wards corner was headd back by Ste Coady, Paul Hives ,Kev Patterson and Louis Watson were part of Bridges best attacks but Reo's defence battled and thwarted every attack to keep the game level until the 86th minute when hitting Bridge on the break shot home from the edge of the box to give Reo's a good away win. Lee Parry again was Reo's star man with a great display at the heart of the Reo's defence and Paul Hives was Bridge Timbers m.o.m.

Bridge Timber F.C. 3 Halton Barley F.C. 2 Bridge Timber progressed to the semi final of the Paddy Heffernan/Dave Benson Trophy with a good 3-2 against Halton Barley. Bridge went ahead on the 10 minute mark after Paul wilsons acute shot foiled Neil Percival in the Barley goal as it slipped through his fingers for 1-0.Kev Wards dangerous corner should have given Bridge a 2 goal advantage but Liam sweeneys header flew just over. Lewis Buckleys shot in the 31st min after it deflected into Kev Wards path and after rounding the keeper his shot was deflected for a corner. Some good defending from Louis Watson, Gary Vaughan,Ste Coady and Lee Evans kept Barley at bay with Timbers keeper Andy Stringer only brought into action on one occasion saving easily from a long range effort.1-0 at the interval Bridge then played against the wind and defended well, hitting Barley on the break after Paul Hives sent Liam sweeney through his shot was blocked before on the hour mark, Barley drew level with a deflected goal after Lee Evans got the unlucky touch to bring it to 1-1. Bridge again went ahead after Lewis Buckley received the ball on the left, and after ghosting past 2 defenders he delightfully found the top corner to give Bridge the lead they deserved. Bridge soaked up Barley pressure and hit Barley on the break with debutant Paul Spence finding the net after a good turn and shot gave the keeper no chance for 3-1. Barley retaliated with another free kick after Darren Moores effort was well saved by Stringer the rebounded was followed up to make the final score 3-2. Kev Patterson was Bridge Timbers man of the match with an outstanding performance and John Mcdonald getting Barleys. Bridge now play Reo's in the semi final.

Runcorn sunday Premier division Todds F.C. 0 Bridge Timber F.C. 3 Bridge Timber stayed top of the Runcorn Premier League after taking 3 points from a stubborn Todds side. It was all square at half time, although Bridge had a good penalty appeal turned down and Karl thomas had a good chance saved after Jay o Briens great header came off the bar but the keeper got back across to save so Todds kept it level at the break . Bridge again came out and immediatley went on the attack with Paul Wilson who was filling in as right back setting up Liam Sweeney to have a 25 yarder saved. Kev Patterson was instrumental in opening the scoring after he traded passes with Karl Thomas before his sublime pass put Kev Ward one on one and after taking it around the keeper fired home from an acute angle to give Bridge a deserved lead. Good work from Louis watson and Jay o Brien down Bridge Timbers left side worked wonders with Kev Ward receiving the ball and his pinpoint cross was headed home by Karl Thomas at the back post for 2-0. Todds had limited chances with Timbers rearguard standing firm , Ste Coady,Louis watson, Si Porter and Paul Wilson defending well before the introduction of Andy Gott and Andy Stringer in Timbers goal keeping Todds at bay. Paul Hives had a shot saved in the 70th minute after a 6 man move and in the 80th minute, sub Thomas Whalley again got another goal for Bridge after a rebound come his way and Whalley smashed the ball home sending the keeper the wrong way to make the final score 3-0. Kev Ward was Bridge Timbers man of the match with a great all round display.
