A VAN fire spread to a second vehicle at a retail park in Runcorn on Wednesday afternoon, October 25.
Trident Retail Park, off West Lane, was the scene of a blaze that began in a small van and spread to a car.
According to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, the flames began in the van as a result of a battery fire at the back of the vehicle.
Firefighters were called to the scene and needed to use breathing apparatus in order to combat the chemical flames.
One fire engine was dispatched from a station in Runcorn to deal with the blaze that took place near the retail park's Cineworld site.
As per Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service's incident report log, the incident took place just after 2pm on Wednesday, October 25.
The log reads: "A fire in a small van is believed to have been caused by batteries in the rear of the vehicle.
"Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the fire, which had spread to a nearby vehicle."
