THERE were very long delays on the M56 this morning after a vehicle fire.
Two of three lanes were closed westbound close to junction 12 at Runcorn at around 8am.
And the queues went back seven miles to beyond junction 11 at Daresbury at their peak.
All lanes have now been reopened although some delays remain in the area.
There are also long delays in the opposite direction as well.
Lane 1 (of 3) remains closed on the #M56 westbound between J12 (#Runcorn) and J14 (#Elton) due to a vehicle fire.
