A BUS caught fire in Runcorn.
Firefighters were called to Beechwood Avenue shortly before 9pm last night, Saturday.
The engine compartment of a single decker gas-powered bus had caught fire.

The fire had already been extinguished when crews arrived and the gas connection isolated.
Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots and a hose reel jet to damp down and to help clear smoke.
One fire engine from Runcorn dealt with the incident.
