A MAIN road leading to Widnes and the Silver Jubilee Bridge is blocked after a vehicle fire.
The A561 Speke Boulevard is closed both ways just after the Halewood exit following the incident.
According to traffic monitoring network Inrix, there has been a vehicle fire between the Speke Shopping Centre and South Road.
The road was closed around 6.30pm on Thursday, November 3 and it is not yet known when it will re-open.
Congestion is building.
Drivers are advised allow extra time for their journeys or avoid the area if possible.
