FIREFIGHTERS in Runcorn were called on to tackle a fire involving a forklift truck this morning, Monday.
Two fire engines from Runcorn and Widnes fire stations attended the blaze at a commercial building on Northwich Road at around 6.30am.
Maintaining a safe distance, firefighters used a main water jet to extinguish the fire involving a gas-powered forklift truck inside the premises.
A thermal imaging camera was then used to check the fire was completely out.
Crews remained at the scene for several hours to damp down the area to ensure the fire was out and could not reignite.
